On February 11th Rigibore Ltd was honoured to have attended a reception for Small Business hosted by the UK’s Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne at No 11 Downing Street, the official residence and office of the UK’s Chancellor of the Exchequer.

The invitation was forwarded by local Hayle MP, George Eustice to Suzanne Bennet, Rigibore’s Finance Director who attended along with representatives from two other local businesses.  George Eustice’s research assistant hosted a short tour from Westminster Hall through to the Central Lobby in the Houses of Parliament before meeting up with Mr Eustice and his parliamentary assistant and going on to Downing Street.

The reception was held to recognise successful small British businesses. In his address Mr Osborne acknowledged the contribution that small businesses make to the British economy in relation to job creation, innovation and exports.

‘It was a wonderful evening and a privilege to attend an event in such an iconic address, Downing Street and even meet Larry, the Downing Street cat! Rigibore was very honoured to have been invited.  It is always inspiring to meet other business owners from different sectors innovating and expanding their businesses but having to overcome similar obstacles to us in order to achieve their goals’ said Suzanne Bennet.
