The Future Today
Building on many years at the cutting edge of boring technology, Rigibore®’s emphasis today lies firmly at the high-tech end of the tooling spectrum. Already a pioneer in revolutionising the design process for special tools with our automated Rigibore® Advanced Design System (RADS ™), our focus is now shifting to revolutionising the tools themselves: this is most prominently exemplified by Smartbore ™ and ActiveEdge ™.
- RADS ™: delivering a superior, fast-track service in the design and manufacture of special tools
- ActiveEdge ™: sub-micron accurate, hands-free, self-adjusting, self-gauging/calibrating tool solution
- Smartbore ™: delivering a remote, sub-micron accurate digital read-out for precision adjustment to the tool-edge
Rigibore® is a truly global operator with an established international distribution network in the majority of major manufacturing countries – we currently export over 75% of our total output.
As well as producing individual tools for our customers, we also work with external machine tool manufacturers to produce major turn-key packages. In addition, we are preparing to market our ActiveEdge ™ and Smartbore ™ technology for use under licence.
Logistically, Rigibore®’s sister operation in America – Rigibore® Inc – is currently expanding in order to take over a number of existing and new commitments.
